Track Manufacturing Activities and Update Financial Data

Manufacturing Information Systems, Inc. (MISys) today announced it will launch a manufacturing solution using the new Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 software. MISys Small Business Manufacturing (MISys SBM) working in combination with Small Business Accounting is a .NET developed manufacturing system that works by tracking the manufacturing activities and preparing journal entries that update the financials in Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting. MISys SBM, working in conjunction with Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting, is designed for manufacturing firms with up to 25 employees that comprise 20% of the customers who buy off-the-shelf accounting software.

MISys SBM is an "accounting-centric" manufacturing system -- meaning that it tracks various manufacturing activities and prepares the journal entries needed to update the financial statement. By communicating directly with Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting, time-consuming and error-prone exporting and importing is eliminated.

Designed for Small Businesses with up to 25 employees

Small Business Accounting 2006, specifically designed for businesses with up to 25 employees, will provide integrated tools to help small companies meet their important financial needs. Microsoft Corp. announced public availability of the new edition in the United States during the Microsoft Business Summit 2005 at the Microsoft Conference Center on its Redmond , Wash. , campus on Sept. 7.

Office Small Business Accounting 2006 is available in a stand-alone version or as part of Microsoft Office Small Business Management Edition 2006. Small Business Management Edition 2006 is designed to give owners and managers of small companies a complete view of their business - from sales and marketing to financial, personnel and customer relationship processes - in the familiar, easy-to-use Office environment. It includes Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager Update as well as the new Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006. With the inclusion of Small Business Accounting 2006 and the updated version of Microsoft Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager in the Microsoft Office suite, companies can manage sales, marketing and financial processes in an easy-to-use Office suite built to help small businesses meet what they have told Microsoft are their most important business management needs.
